LAS VEGAS – Fresh off a successful debut on network television, World Series of Fighting returns to NBCSN for “World Series of Fighting 12: Palomino vs. Gonzalez,” which takes place Aug. 9 at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
In the night’s main event, two of the promotion’s top lightweights bid for a shot at World Series of Fighting lightweight champion Justin Gaethje, as exciting Peruvian veteran Luis “Baboon” Palomino (22-9) faces undefeated Californian “Lethal” Lewis Gonzalez (9-0).
In the night’s co-feature, Brazilian brawler Ronny Markes (14-3) returns to light heavyweight to make his World Series of Fighting debut against undefeated submission machine Kelvin “The Mama’s Boy” Tiller (6-0).

Challenger meets reigning bantamweight champ Birchak at MFC 41

Jesse Brock was surprised to learn he’s vaulted into the top 40 in the world, according to Fight Matrix.
He’s excited by that realization, but much more focused on being the number one bantamweight in the Maximum Fighting Championship. To make that happen, Brock intends on taking out reigning champ Anthony Birchak at MFC 41: All In.
Brock challenges Birchak for the belt on Friday, Oct. 3 live on AXS TV Fights from the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. The Boise, Idaho, product has flown under the radar for much of his career, while Birchak has stood out in the crowded ranks with his effervescent personality. F.P.C is excited to add Matt Jones to our athlete roster. Matt has been on a tear in both his M.M.A and grappling tournaments as of late. Winner of his last 5 straight ammy M.M.A bouts along with training with one of the best teams in the N.W. Combat Fitness as well as B.J.J training with Jacen flynn of “the Mat”. At just 22 YO and competing at featherweight (145) we have some very high expectations that most that train with him now would agree. Look for Mr. Jones to make his Pro debut in August. Boise, ID (5/16/14) – Jesse Brock (Boise, ID) showed off the grappling ability that made him a Pac-10 champion wrestler at Boise State, claiming a submission victory in the Main Event of the first Front Street Fights at CenturyLink Arena.
Brock improved to 18-8 overall with the victory over Omar Avelar (Moses Lake, WA) at 3:52 of the first round in front of 2,118 fans in downtown Boise.
“I’m just having fun right now,” Brock said after the fight. “It’s taken me quite a few years to get to this point and I’m enjoying it.”

FRONT STREET FIGHTS TO RING THE BELL FRIDAY

Boise, ID (5/13/14) – The Treasure Valley’s newest entertainment brand – Front Street Fights – will hold its first event at CenturyLink Arena Friday night at 7 PM. Doors open at 6 PM for the seven-fight, professional mixed-martial arts event.
The main event features former Boise State wrestling star Jesse Brock, a two-time Pac-Ten champion and three-time NCAA national wrestling championship qualifier, taking on Omar Avelar out of Moses Lake, Washington.
There are three other professional events inside the cage on the CenturyLink Arena floor, each featuring a local fighter. Boise’s Ricky Steele, Colton Vaughn of Nampa and Miles Hunsinger of Nampa will each step into the ring in a pro bout. There will also be three amateur bouts before the pro card begins.

BOISE– Professional mixed martial arts fighter Scott Jorgensen doesn’t get scared when he steps into the UFC cage to fight an opponent. However, he does get nervous when a friend does.
“For me personally, watching my teammates and my friends fight is more nerve racking than for me to go in there and fight,” Jorgensen said.
Jorgensen will be feeling the nerves on Friday night when his longtime friend Jesse Brock gets into the cage. Brock will be fighting in the main event of Front Street Fights at CenturyLink Arena. It will be his 26th professional fight, marking a long and for the most part successful career that he credits the start to Jorgensen.
